Caring for your Laminate Benchtop
CLEANING YOUR LAMINATE BENCHTOP
For everyday cleaning, give a quick wipe over with a damp sponge and mild detergent (eg. dishwashing liquid), or an all purpose cleaner such as “Spray & Wipe”, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.
For problem spots, scrub gently with a soft brush (eg. old toothbrush) and a very mild abrasive such as toothpaste or a paste of baking soda and water. Rinse with clean water.
THINGS NOT TO DO
Never Place hot pans or similar objects directly onto the surface of the laminate as this will cause blistering or burns - always place hot items on a protective surface such as a trivet or chopping board.
Avoid acidic foods and dyes for hair, textile or food.
Never use waxes.
Never cut directly onto the surface.
Avoid moving sharp or abrasive objects over your benchtop, as this can cause scratches or leave marks that could dull your surface over time.
Prolonged exposure to bleach may cause discolouration. Abrasive cleaners should not be used.
